The student affairs team are the Class Representatives. These students address academic and administrative questions, they voice their peer's issues to the university, and communicate with the departments to ensure a smooth semester. They are your first line of communication.
Expectations for the role:
Be approachable, empathetic and pro-active, find solutions to problems
Maintain professional, clear communication with both the students and the university staff
Be available online (at least once every 24 hours) to answer questions or share announcements

Are you passionate about social causes and would like to make a differene? The charity team turns compassion into action. They organize events to support non-profit organizations and raise awareness about important issues.
Expectations for the role:
Plan and organize at least one event per semester
Bring creative ideas to fundraising events (bake sales, workshops, etc.)
Collaborate on awareness campaigns (Breast Cancer Month)
Be passionate about supporting charitable causes
Communicate with external organizations or charities if needed
The events team is the core to the many successful events and activities we host (such as the white coat ceremony). Their goal is to create unique and memorable experiences for the students.
Expectations for the role:
Coordinate with university leadership to ensure logistical efficiency in planning
Partner with external vendors to provide the best resources & materials
Work closely with other teams at ISSA like Social Media and Charity
Plan/lead at least one event per semester
Be proactive and motivated in working with a team on executing the events
Our Media Team is responsible for our online presence. They manage our Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, and Linkedin. They join our events to capture pictures and videos and create posters to promote them.
Media role:
Market/promote upcoming ISSA events & activities.
Create posts and reels for our social media accounts.
Active participation in coverage of events.
Good understanding of social media and what’s going to get the best engagement.
Design role:
Design and create posts and reels for our social media accounts.
Be well-versed in using Canva/graphic design platforms.
Photographer role:
Good knowledge of photography
Good photo/video editing skills
Strong work ethic and participation in covering events
Would you like to start networking & building relationships that branch outside of the university? The External Affairs Team reaches out to external organizations, graduates, and professionals. They work with them on collaborations and conferences.
Expectations for the role:
Organizing and working on projects to expand international relations and create opportunities for students
Serve as a point of contact within ISSA for organizational support, fundraising, and exploring non-traditional Semmelweis activities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a global awareness
Experience in project management, event planning, or international relations preferred
Our Internal Affairs team is all about working behind the scenes. They manage internal communication & support our members engagement. They facilitate cross-team collaborations and solve any communication issues. They are also responsible for some projects such as the Immigration Office Collaboration.
Expectations for the role:
Managing ISSA’s internal network, as a point of contact for member affairs
Facilitating communication between the university leadership and ISSA.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with a diverse student body.
Organizing and supporting internal initiatives, ensuring active member engagement and participation.
The Newsletter team creates monthly editions tailored for Semmelweis students featuring tips, interviews, and articles from the medical and healthcare world.
Expectations for the roles:
Writers
Contribute content such as articles, interviews, and student features
Stay updated on university events and healthcare topics
Have an interest in writing (without the use of AI !!!)
Be consistent and meet publishing timelines.
Layout designers
Combine the articles into engaging designs
Prior experience with Canva is preferred, but applicants who can learn the platform quickly are also encouraged to apply
Creativity is a must

The ESN team welcomes incoming Erasmus students, supports them during their stay here at Semmelweis and creates memorable experiences through fun social and cultural events.

The ESN Events Team
Help Erasmus students settle into life in Budapest and at Semmelweis
Organize creative social, cultural and integration events
Be outgoing, inclusive, and open to meeting people from different backgrounds
Organize at least one event per semester
The ESN Social Media Team
Create engaging content for ESN Semmelweis social media, showcasing ESN activities and student life
Collaborate with the ESN Events team to promote upcoming activities
Maintain a consistent online presence and engage with student enquiries
Be creative, responsive, and familiar with social media trends & tools
The ESN Vice President
Oversee and manage the budget and finances for ESN events
Represent ESN Semmelweis in meetings with ESN Hungary
Support the President and step in whenever required
Maintain regular communication with the International Mobility Office

We are looking for a manager of the ISSA website and any future merchandise we release. You will be trained on how to edit and upkeep our site. No coding knowledge is required. We are looking for a creative and dedicated worker. Someone with an eye for detail.
Expectations for the Rule
Collaborate with other teams (Events, Newsletter, Internal Affairs etc) to update our website with the latest events and news about ISSA
Keep up with the events happening within ISSA or in the university
Be able to communicate these new changes or announce these events through paragraphs and pictures (without the use of AI)
Be able to design merchandise (sweaters, t-shirts) that represent the ISSA brand
Reach out to merchandise producers and negotiate on prices and customizations
Oversee the Order Forms for any new products we release
Maintain similar colors and logos across all our products
Knowledge of Canva is a plus (or at least, the willingness to learn)
