ISSA - Outlook Guide

Semmelweis University uses multiple e-learning platforms to distribute lecture materials, practical guides, video tutorials, and exam resources.

University Email

Your official Semmelweis Outlook email can be used if you would like to send any official emails. For example, if you would like to resent your Neptun login or Two factor Authentication, you must send an email using it.

For casual inquiries with the English Secretary Office or with your professrs, you may use your personal email.

They generally follow the structure lastname.firstname@stud.semmelweis.hu, but may differ.

Activate Your Account

- Open the O365 Portal
- Select your preferred language on the top right corner of the screen (EN for English)
- Press the “Azonosító aktiválás” ("ID activation") button.

- Enter your Neptun ID (provided by the university) along with your birthdate in the format yyyy.mm.dd
- During the activation process you will be asked to enter your private email address. It is only used to set your initial password (yy.mm.dd) and to reset the password, 1 hour after activation, your university email account will be activated!
- Upon successful login, you will be able to see your name and university email address under your user details.

- Open the office.com website in another tab in your browser and after clicking on the “Bejelentkezés” ("Login") button, enter your new university email address.
- The system will then let you into the Office site (if the SeKA login interface is reopened, you will need to enter the login details above).
- From the available icons, select Outlook, where you can keep track of your correspondence, which you should check several times a day (as well as your messages in Neptun).
- From now on, to log in, you only need to open the Outlook log in page.
